Three Above started his first race in 2006 and won. "He had a less than stellar departure from the gates, and was next to last going by the grandstand. On the backside he kicked into gear and passed the other horses like they were standing still, caught the leader and won by a couple of lengths. We were thrilled. It looked like he didn't have a snowballs chance of winning - we had resigned ourselves to the fact that this race was a learning experience for him. It was sooooooooo exciting!!! His next race will be tougher since he'll be in higher conditions," said his owners.

Well, it wasn't so tough for Three Above, who won his second race easily... going wire to wire and winning by 10 lengths!!! Three Above finished the season with a record of 7(4-0-1)2-0

Three Above has a pedigree that doesn't come any finer. Sired by the late Ala Croixnoire, who was the sire of greats like Stellar 2/13(10-2-1)4-2 $142,448, Croixnoire 2/15(11-4-0)6 $134,538 and Darwinn 5/43(13-11-5)9-7 $$132,171 just to name a few. Ala Croixnoire as of end of 2005 had sired runners with $1,247,914 in earnings. Ala Croixnoire was a multi stakes winner himself, leading 3 year old in France and leading 4 year old in Oman.

Three Above's dam is Countourblessings, a stakes winning mare by Sams Count- IAHA Racing Horse of the Year with a phenomenal race record of 7/108(32-31-17)15-14 who earned $113,796 when purses were low! Countourblessings is out of the stakes winning mare Kopper Valintine, who also produced stakes winners Datims Valient and Datims Victory. Three Above is Countourblessing's first foal.
