Steal A Kiss has completely stolen our hearts and we will keep her in our broodmare band when she finishes her racing career!
Kiss was in an Open Allowance the last weekend of the Mt. Pleasant meet in 2003 because the mare/filly race didn't go. This is not the first time Kiss has had to run with the boys- we had confidence in her. She was the only mare, the smallest, the oldest and because it was a handicap race she went off with the most weight- 133 pounds! I'm gonna start calling her Seabiscuit II! She came in 2nd, but did a battle with the winning horse. It was a really exciting race and I thought she was gonna pull it off. I would still be yellin' and jumpin' if she had. Under the circumstances we were happy with 2nd and the winning horse was a very nice 4 year old stallion.
Steal A Kiss's record in 2003 was three wins, two of which were Stakes races, and two seconds, both against the boys. She's starting off the 2004 season at Mount Pleasant Meadows and won again on May 8! And this race was against the boys, too!
